You forgot to post your system specs.
Did you get an error message during the installation?
What exactly is the error message when you start Gothic? _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

You seem to have a problem with the Miles Sound System (mss32...). Maybe you need new drivers for your sound card.
Another idea is the Mod Player Kit (you can find it in our gallery). It updates the Miles Sound System, but I donīt see why a new version should run if not even the old one does. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

You're using Win9x, so C:\Windows\System\ is (usually) your 'system directory'.
If you installed Gothic to C:\Windows\ some of the Miles Sound System libraries end up in the system directory.
Now you have a problem, because MSS libraries won't work in this directory.
It's by design (to avoid problems with applications which using different versions of the MSS) and you cannot change that behavior.
Solution: uninstall Gothic and install it to another folder.
(games/applications should never be installed in the Windows directory)
