Breaking the rules in MMOs @ GameZone

GameZone has an editorial on players taking advantage of exploits, with a specific example from EQ2:
When SOE announced EQ II’s PvP servers, they had the right idea. This was going to really bring about some solid ideas, with a PvP range-level cap – meaning you cannot attack a player ‘x’ amount of levels above or below you, depending on the zone. Why? For starters, a player outside that zone range is hunting within their level (presumably) and if Player A is 15 levels, or more, above Player B, then the latter has virtually no chance of winning. When Deidra one-shot a wood elf – 26 levels below the mage's character – standing on the docks in the Thundering Steppes, the person behind the character was not only violating the game’s rules but exploiting a bug in the program to make the game untenable for a younger player.

What a stupid article. Basically all the guys says it: I played EQ2 and some people cheated which sucked big time. Ya, well... welcome to the MMO world. Of course it sucks - nothing new.
