Jade Empire (Xbox): Review @ NL Gaming

There's another 98% for BioWare's mantlepiece with NL Gaming awarding said score in their review. Here's the rather lengthy opening paragraph:
I don't know how they continue to do it. You know, many of us gamers go back deep into BioWare's history. From Baldur's Gate and MDK 2 to Neverwinter Knights and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, BioWare has always put 150% into their games. Time and time again you see it. Every time you think BioWare has done the absolute best game they could possibly do, they come out with something that tops it. For the last year it's been the Knights of the Old Republic games I and II. Those games even had non-RPG fans like me hooked. And just when I thought those games were the pinnacle of the BioWare lineup, along comes their latest action-style RPG adventure for the Microsoft Xbox; Jade Empire. Not being of the RPG "ilk", I've was kind of reluctant to really give a game like Jade Empire a chance because even though I liked KOTOR I wasn't sure that would carry over to a game that didn't have the Star Wars license to it. But over the last week I have had the pleasure.....no the honor.......of playing Jade Empire. And even though for me it started a little slow, once I began to really get into the game, the beauty of this adventure into mysticism and martial arts really began to blossom in front of me. All of a sudden, it was the only game I was playing, and I was farming out almost every other game to review to other people simply because I didn't want to stop playing. In fact I really started writing this review yesterday as the embargo for reviews actually ended then. And already there are reviews up all over the place I'm sure. But you know what, I needed one more day. Not because I didn't know what to say, or I wasn't sure what to think; but I simply needed another 8-10 hours of sit-down gameplay. This is a giant game that will last a long time. For those that are computer savvy, Jade Empire is over 6 GIGS! For a PC game, that would be the size of Doom 3 and the new expansion pack...........loaded three times over!! That is how big Jade Empire is. And I'm going to do my very best to show you why. I can almost guarantee you that I won't be able to touch on everything in the game, because there is so much. But isn't that a good thing? So enough of the initial drooling. Let me take you on a journey inside what to me is quite arguably the best RPG I think I have ever played. I said almost that much about Knights of the Old Republic. I'm definitely saying it about Jade Empire.
