These latest screenshots look terrible. I surely hope that they don't plan on an interface that takes up 1/5th of the screen. Gads!

The devs have stated the interface is not finalised, so hopefully it will be refined. Currently it's similar in size to say, IWD2, which I thought was OK.

I hated IWD2's interface too If you can minimize it easily, it won't be too bad. Divine Divinity has a nice interface that can be minimized. Maybe they'll do something like that....

I agree, but sometimes the text-box in IWD2 (and there appears to be a similar one in Lionheart) can be useful. I often need to scroll back to check the details of a combat (results of spells, resistance notices etc) and I miss that ability in Divinity, although I do appreciate the compact size.

Textbox is useful indeed. Most times you just ignore it, but

a) For pity's sake, it is a role-playing games we're talking about. There is supposed to be some of this old-fashioned stuff

b) When you need to check smth specific out, like Dhruin said - they are quite useful

c) In Lionheart the newly published interface is certainly much better than the one on previous screenshots. That one resembled Arcanum so much! And certainly it's not a good thing
