Only fun in GTA3 was when your wanted level reached max and they call in the feds and the army.. Mafia on the other hand has a great feeling and i have to disagree with you there mr pin. replayability might be the same as most games but after you completed the story-part of the game you still have extreme free ride where you fill up your garage with lots of really cool cars! .. still none of those games are RPG's..

Well, you are probabl yright about Mafia. However, after I completed it, I found the constant driving from A to B a little dull. Maybe Iīll reinstall and have another go.

(Yeah you heard me.. i didnt like NWN all that much) not sure bout the general feelings about it here though.

General feelings on NWN is pretty mixed I think. Most people seem to enjoy it in MP. I still havenīt finished it in SP yet, but I like it. Most CRPG have the walking from A to B and back to A again, itīs just a matter of how well implemented(sp?) it is.

Most people who don't like it haven't had good RPing experinces with it in multiplayer. I love the game. I do! But I never completed the single player quest, never made is past Chapter 2 I agree with you, the quests are generelly very "fedex-y". But when you play in MP with a good DM, there's no other game that can even come close, in my humble opinion

Baldurs Gate was really a great game. Iīve replayed it at least five times. The thing that frustrates me is the slow walking-speed. It takes three hours to reveal one area. And there are LOTS of areas in BG. But donīt worry Gothic Soul, it gets better. When you get a little further, things are really starting to happen...

Mafia has gotten rave reviews from everyone, the only drag I hear is the riding around from mission to mission.Bout time there was a decent mobster game. Now if just Sea Dogs II is good we'll have a real wide range of good, diffrent titles. Definitely on the to-get list. Max payne is a good action game I wouldnt call it an RPG tho, IMHO its missing one key RPG element- Character advancement. He gets better weapons and stuff (I just got the assault rifle, woohoo) but thats it. How about that running out of the burning building part, what awesome detail! Payne is a tripped out game, the nightmare sequence was well done too. Would have been worth the full price tag, still glad i got it for 20 =]

GOD, the title of this thread drives a picayune SOB like me CRAZY!! Max Payne is not an RPG!!!!

First Person Shooters like "Myst."

Sims like "Super Mario Sunshine."

Adventure games like "Unreal Tournament 2003."

Sports games like "Heroes of Might and Magic IV."

Jeez, relax. It means "Are there any RPGs that are played in the same way like Max Payne, 3d person and so on?"
