3 men at base of serpent pillar

I just killed the 3 men at the base of the serpent pillar. (You know, where the whole 'Shany' plot was.)

The last major thing I did was kill 2 Lich's in level 8 of the crypt, after getting into King Poxellis' grave. I got the helmet and left the tomb. I peeked around the mushie forest for a bit then sold some goods in town.

I decided to explore some areas a bit and that's when I encountered the three men. They started it!!! Before I could go away they attacked me. So I killed them to protect myself.

Will this hurt anything? Do I need them in the future?

Speaking of the mushie forest. . . .can you get anything from the hanging corpses? And exactly what are those odd flowery looking things with thorns?

The walkthrough is a bit vague at this point. Mushie forest=regular dungeon?? What does that mean?

I'm at a point where I'm a bit confused at what to do next.

I'm babbling, sorry. I'll stop with the questions asked.

TIA ~T

I don't think killing them will have any effect. That whole area was a little disappointing, except for the giant worm. Just a place to get a bit more Exp and stuff.

I never found anything on corpses. The flowery things are just terrain elements, but there is one flowery thing (it is bigger then others) that serves as a teleport to a small area with loot. I have to agree with corwin that that's it to this level, unfortunately, as I expected some kind of mistery/deepth to the rat-man race, as it was the case with previous races in Arx.

Thanks! Then I'll continue my game from there. I wasn't sure if they served any future purpose or anything. After all, they were only titled "A Man" when I looted their corpses.

So far I'm in agreement with the mushie forest. I was feeling like I was missing something. Good to know! Haven't seen the worm yet but I'm sure it's close.

Thanks again! ~T

Heh, the worm frustrated me a bit. It withstood quite a few fireballs, then I decided to use the attack and back-up strategy. That worked better. It was quite fun after it exploded.

Glad you liked the worm. I like your avatar, Shodan is my all time favourite villain.

I had originally used it until I put my own in but I ended up getting used to it. I dunno who "Shodan" is though. I just liked the pretty green lightning. LOL
