| 2 quests i like help to solve |
|
1.
Ignaz wants me to test a spell Oblivion.... how do i solve that?
2.
Bottoms up - the drinking contest on the tavern. I have gathered the 2 guys but they just stand and drink and drink... is that a bug? i have looted the cheat they are standing near. i cant place water in the cheat cause i get hacked down if i try 
when is the drinking contest over? |

simply wait until night time, cause that guy will step outside, then you can swap the ale for a bottle of water. then, when the contest is on, go away for a long time 
I have no idea how to solve The Experiment quest though, I've tried everything ,any insights are welcome. |

- Choose a victim. e.g. any middle- or high-class citizen in Khorinis.
(I choose Valentino.)
- Make sure there's no witness.
(Every night at 4:00, Valentino walks out from the bar. There will be no witness at the time he passes Bosper's store.)
- Beat him up.
- Once he recovers, talk to the victim. Make sure the he is mad at you. If s/he is normal to you, choose another victim.
- Equip your Oblivion spell, target your victim, then cast the spell to him.
- Talk to the victim again. If he is normal to you, then your experiment is a success.
- Talk to Ignaz again. Get your reward.

No. During the contest, they'll drink and drink, like robots. There'll be no conversation options to them until the contest is over. (Lure a troll to them, see if they attack. Just kidding...)
The contest will take place for two days. Just go to bed and sleep for two days. (Or go to somewhere else and do other quests) After 2 days, return to Orlan and he'll tell you the results.

Normally, Rukbar will walk away around midnight (I think 12:00A - 1:00A). You can replace the water bottle with your gin during that time.
However, because the contest is still occuring, neither Rukbar nor Randolph will go away until the contest is over. |

I did the oblivion quest very easily. I attacked Hanna the owner of the place you sleep for free. When she was down, I cast the spell, talked to her and went to claim my reward. If you want some fun, get a second spell, attack Ignaz, rob him of more spells and use one on him.!!  Works perfectly, but won't do for the test; I tried!!

Why not? My target for the test was Ignaz himself.
I started to steal things in his house, he attacked me, I have beated him up, robbed him and looted his house. After he awoke I asked if everything is ok, he told me that I am thief and he will tell Andre. I cast oblivion and he forgot everything. Ha, and asked me if I was able to test the spell, I sayd, yep. So, everyone happy and test passed
