Gamespy managed to grab Chris Taylor (ex Interplay, not Gas Powered Games) at GenCon for an <a href="http://www.gamespy.com/articles/july03/gencon2003/meointerview/" target="_blank">interview</a> about Middle Earth Online. Here's some of the discussion:

We wanted to use them, but we had to make sure the characters won't interfere with the fellowship. They arent doing justice to Tolkien by putting three fourths of the world in future expansions. Sure Eriador is nice, but there is much more. Its a marketing gimmick, straight laziness, and idiocy. |

i refuse to play MEO until they have everything in it. I guess i will end up waiting for 4 years for that to happen. By then, ah, ill totally forget about it most probably. sheesh. |
