Why can't I cut and paste in the script editor?

This would be a hell of a lot easier if I didn't have to keep typing this stuff over and over everytime I start a new try at creating a script.

Why can't I paste in the text from my word processor files.

OK if anyone is interested I found the answer.

The only way that you can cut and paste in the script editor is by using the keyboard comands.

CTRL C to copy and CTRL V to paste.

That's it.
