| first Ald'Ruhn thief quest |
|
i'm doing the first thieves guild quest in Ald'Ruhn, the one where the mages guild is empty and you have to find the tanto. I have looked over the entire thing many many times and i can't find the thing. Please help me out here. |

If you go to the lower level on the right side or the stairs there is an area where there was a alchemic mage. It's in one of the small chests on the shelf, if I remember correctly. |

I had the same problem (the reason I registered for this forum), and the tip paid off, it's in the locked-65 box on the top shelf in the right alcove on the lowest level (complicated sentence, huh?) my lock splitter spell didn't work however :S I had to seriously boost my security skillz :S |

Is there a bug in this one? I opened all of the chests (everything locked) in the entire mage guild BEFORE talking to Aengoth the Jeweler to get the quest. Now, when I go back to do the quest the Devil Tanto does not appear anywhere.
