hallo,my partychar.has been more as the needed xp points,but hes always level 1.its automatic going to next level or must i doing that manually.he need 1000 and he have over 30000.please help me.
i am german but the game is english.my english is bad.please help me

You have button for this in Character screen I guess, but I am not sure. Does someone has better description? |

On the character's picture, you should see a "+". Click on that to access the level-up screen. You will have to do it several times since you'll be around level 5.
