| Hellos. Did I miss something here? [Spoilers] |

Hello people. I just finished Gothic, and I can't shake that feeling that I must have missed something in the important storyline. I played as pure New Camper, all the way from Rogue to Merc to Water Mage, don't know if this had something to do with it, but after Diego and Milten warn me of the Old Camp chaos and tell me to tell Gorm and Lester about the meeting, after that the sidequest seems to stop abruptly.
Although Gorm told me I was almost part of the team now, after that no matter how many times i went find him outside the free mine, he didn't mention anything about the meeting anymore. Pretty sad, and here I was hoping for some kind of "The magnificent Five" kind of thing, busting into Old Camp, avenging the Firemages, taking down the corrupt bully system and even the big man Gomez himelf.
Still I sought out all of the meeting again, and was happy when Milten appeared (at the Watemage Pentagram to help me charge the sword) that it was at last time, but nothing.
So anyone know what went wrong here? Did I miss being at the right place at the right time? Or maybe was the team quest dropped because of scripting or financial problems (like I heard the hill fort quest was). I know that something like that was supposed to happen, since there is a pic of the team in the RPGDot gothic gallery, and even one where they are fighting a troll together (troll.jpg on page 25 of screenshots).

Well, ther was going to be a simulated attack on the New Camp but is was cancelled due to time and money. There is a hidden camp of bad boys in the moutains that were to raid the new camp. You can still go there and kill them all anyway.
I guess using the G1 Dev Kit, add in a custom quest or modify it so they trigger an attack if ambitious.
Is this what you are speaking about? Search the Gothic forum for more info about this cancelled raid attack event.

He meant, that our hero, Gorn, Milten, Lester and Diego would bust into Old Camp and kill the firemage murderers. I think something like that was never ment to happen. There are just too many enemyes in Old camp. Also you don't do any mission with all five friends. You haven't missed anything.

Oh, thanks. That's good to know.
Still it's a pity they didnt develop this meeting stuff. As I wrote before it seemed like they were preparing something like that from these two screenshots but they didn't get around to doing it.

The first one appears to be a start screen. Kinda like these four would be much more important in the game than they already were.
Also note that Diego wears Black in both of them instead of Old Camp Red...possibly because this was a preview shot or something and stuff changed in the process.

Looks like typical promo shots.
PB said in one of our interviews that they (I guess they meant their mother company  ) were running out of money. They had to deliver something which could be called 'finished'. So the whole game is full of loose ends.

still a lot of loose end or not gothic 1 stays a great game who just every rpg fan should have and even non rpg fans
