Did any company ever produce a strategy guide for Gothic?
Did someone make the world and camp maps or did they come out of a guide of some sort?

The camp maps are found in the game itself. You can get some screenshots of them.

My children... why don't you look for info here on our very own GothicDot? There's JemyM's FAQ as well, and additional info like maps. And yes, there is an official strategy guide, at least a German one.

Look at the link I posted, Cow Man. And if you scroll up to the upper end of your screen you surely see the sign saying 'RPGDot Hosted Sites'? Click on it and wonder.
