BioWare: No Plans for NWN2

Blue's is pointing out a post on the BioWare forums by "QA Ninja" Stanley Woo that lays to rest recent rumours about NWN2:
Since we currently have no plans to make an NWN2, it would be highly unlikely that Trent would be talking about it at E3. This has been discussed on the HotU board as well, with the explanation being that the translation is incorrect. There has also been mention of GameStar being, perhaps, an unreliable source of accurate information.
Well, it was fun while it lasted.

Sounds like Bioware wants to build console style games. It would be cool if they could release some Epic Character modules though.

Bioware is abandoning the strangle grip of D&D and the WotC rules in favour of their own IP.

They've decided to go with a system away from the tilesets and more like what they had with BG.

They've also mentioned they won't be doing a toolset or DM client. For this reason Maximus, the editor of NWVault.IGN.com, has lead a campaign to prevent this and Bioware seems to be listening. Many of the NWN community leaders have signed off on this.
