Hi, My name is Codi . i love Pb's game 'Gothic'. But I've been struggling to run it. My problem is, Sometimes when the Game is loaded ( I have a Geforce2 Mx400 64mb vid card) I can move for like 5 minutes, Then it will get REALLy jumpy, And then It will begin to lock up. It's really annoying because I cant alt-f4 out of the game nor ctrl-alt-del. About a week ago, It was runinng perfectly, and All Of a sudden I get The Access Violation Error. Excellent Game, I lost my level 17 character because of this crud. And Now, WHEN IT DOES DECIDE TO PLAY, Diego Wont let me imporve my STR So I can use a better sword, PLEASE, someone help me. thx

Is this right near the start of the game? You have to talk to Thorus after you talk to Diego in the camp and ask about joining. He'll point you back to Diego, and a whole new batch of dialogues will appear.

I forgot about that little step my second time through.

Try change your desktop to the game resolution before you start the game. Also close every program running in the background.

Are you sure you have enough RAM?
