The Roots: Preview @ Silven |
|
A short preview of Tannhauser Gate's 'The Roots' can be found at Silven:
What is The Roots ? In a nutshell, it is classic battle of good versus evil, where Yan, the hero (that’s you, by the way!), must defeat the ancient forces and restore order to the land. It contains a multi-threaded storyline and a vast world, divided into 24 regions. The Roots combines a classic RPG with the dynamic gameplay and plot characteristics of action- adventure games, and features an engrossing story line, resulting in a truly immersive gaming experience.
|

That is *not* a preview. That is a regurtitated press release.
This is the problem with the media in the modern age. They are simply conduits for sale. |

Hmmm... maybe we should invent a better term for this kind of coverage, indeed, to describe it more precisely. 'Regurgitated press release' won't do, however. How about 'feature overview'? |

Normally I would point out that it was simply a feature overview but I was running late for an appointment and it only just got covered in the first place. I don't see a big problem though: Silven is a RPG fan-site it's not unreasonable for them to highlight a new game that has had little coverage to their readers and people are surely intelligent enough to see the article for what it is. _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |
