Mine crawlers and damage? |
|
I am now in the mines, chpt 2, and I find that I can not even dent a mine crawler. I am using the biggest weapon I could buy (a mace that does about 35 damage). I am a shadow with heavy shadow armor and I have one handed weapons lvl 2.
Will better weapons become available?
Where do I find them?
Does a high strength increase the amount of damage a weapon does?
Should this be in the spoilers section? _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

Well you can buy better weapons later.
In the mine you can find a stone crusher ( I think it does 39 dmg )
If you want better weapons without paying just go to the castle in the OC find Bullit ( the guards baracks ) and kill him, he has a sword with 42 dmg, and if no one sees you killing him, you will have no problems with other guards.
And yes str influances the amount of damage you make. But it's strange you don't harm a minecrawler, you have enough dmg even if you don't calculate str to your damage, you also might try to use a bow, minecrawlers take more damage from range weapons. |

Korzen,
So you are saying that if my mace is rated to do 35 damage with minimum STR of 17 and since my actual STR is 20 I will do slightly more damage? And even MORE damage if my STR was 30?
Is this correct? If so, what is the fomula?
Thanks. _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

Damage = (Str + WeapDam) - EnemyArmour
For missile weapons, replace Str with Dex. _________________ Jaz |

Ahhh soooooo. Very interrrresting.
Thanks Jaz!
I was debating about what to do with my extra skill points. Since I am concentrating on melee combat, it looks like they are going into Str.
Once again, thanks! _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

You and your hints!
Guess I'll find out about those guys later. So far, getting up close and whacking the daylights outta things seems to work pretty well _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

Well I looked all over for one, and finally found it. The schmuck who attacks you right at the start (Bullit) carries a nice sword (thanks Korzen). After he ate a number of my arrows he was so grateful for the meal, he was willing to let me have it
I happened to have 10 unused skill points, so I boosted my STR to 30. Bullit's sword and a STR 30 did the trick. A little bug hunting ... and *poof* I am a guard. Cool! _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

I beet up Jackle, even though he was a nice guy, and stole his Bone Breaker and Heavy Crossbow. Later I beet up Lares and stole his 1 handed axe. My opinion...you want someones weapon? TAKE IT.
If you give someone money for a quest beet him up and take it back.
There aren't any real consequences as long as you can run. |

Sure there are no consequences but some players want to be a good character, for me it seems really nasty to beat someone up after you give him money. |

I wonder are there more evil or good players. Or maybe the neutral character is the most popular one? |
