Training melee weapons and limits |
|
Hello everybody,
Just starting out on this great game. I'm currently in chapter 2 at level 11. I've done most subquests, joined the mercenaries, and raised my weapon skills to 30 in both one handed and two handed weapons (I like to alternate between these two types). However, now I can't raise them any further. Both trainers at the mercenary camp have limits of 30 (as well as alrik) and the captain in the city won't train mercenaries...
Is this an imposed limit on mercenaries (which I thought were supposed to be the supreme warriors) or is there a way to improve these two fundamental skills in later chapters? I'm not really sure if I should save the LPs for later or invest them right now in strength and dexterity (which I have at 71/30)...
Thanks in advance for your help. |

by the weapon trainers i presume you mean buster (1-H) and rod (2-H). once you have reached the 30% max of these trainers you can instead use cord who teaches to 90% as far as i can remember (he's off to the side of the main house so could have been overlooked)
hope that helped |

Thanks for the answer. Yes, I meant buster and rod. However, I did find cord, but he doesn't seem to want to train me. He insists that he doesn't train people who cannot wield a blade, despite that I have both 1-H and 2-H at 30%.
Another strange thing is that in the character screen, I'm still considered a rookie in both skills. Shouldn't I have moved to 'fighter' by now (according to manual)?
I hope this is not a bug... |
