I beat Gothic yesterday so I was messing around with the console...
Have any of you tried this? If you take your last save, just before the Sleeper fight, and type in the console "hero export NAME"
then your character will be saved.
So I started a new game and re-imported my end-game character.
"hero import NAME" It gave me all of my stats and gear from the end of gothic, but I'd just arrived at the colony!
I still had my runes so I teleported right to the magicians of fire... It was too easy of course, but would be a cool way to play the game... I wonder how high of a level you could attain this way? I started at level 34, but I know other people have gotten much higher... |

You can NOT just import your character from the game..
You have a GUILD name and a TRUE GUILDNAME..
You can reset the guildname with cheats (Edit Abilities) but you cant reset the TRUE GUILDNAME and if you cant reset trueguildname then you cant play the game with the same character..
In marvin-mode you can type SET TRUEGUILDNAME but i dont know what to type then.. It does not accept any of the guild names..

hero export NAME - Saves your character with the name you given
hero import NAME - Import the saved character with the name you gave
(from Jemmys FAQ)
It doesnt function?

I don't have any idea what this "guild name" stuff this guy is talking about is.
I was able to talk to anyone I came across and they had the correct discussions that they should have had at the beginning of the game.
I wasn't part of a camp yet, so I wasn't able to give the Fire mages the message yet.
It IS sort of pointless, I guess, to play the game when you're really powerful like that, but it's a fun alternative. |

heheh i have just tried that too! its fun you can also insert yourself at the begining and playing the game too... anyone inserted the allrounder character? it has all runes and 1 of each spell there is  |

The Problem with Inserting Your char is that All the allegiances and mission completions carry over as well. So When U get the old camp, Thorus won't let U join, Diego won't even mention it, Etc. That's where A lil Ingenuity Is needed. Edit your hero a lil and U won't have the prob anymore. U will be able to play the whole game just like U did the first time.... Only as the uber pimp U were last time. |

For the last time..!!!
Open your Exportet Character with Notepad and Edit Guildname and TrueGuildname to "0"
Then you will be able to play that character again.. |

I tried that already (BTW wordpad is easier for editing. Makes it all nice and formatted) and it doesn't work. I think It has somethign to do with those raw data codes.... |
