Please look past the controversial subject, by which I meant "easiest" weapon and class. (There's simply no "best" something in RPGs, right?)
I am only lvl 4 or 5 into the game, but I have found the combat to be somewhat challenging (probably due to the long load time after dying). Therefore, I would like to hear your opinions about the easiest weapon and class to start with. Should it be bow and militia? Or 1-H weapons and mercs? If you like to add some explanations to your recommendation, that would be awesome, too.
Right now, I am thinking about 1-H and join the militia, but their uniform does not look too good to me :p
Thanks in advance! |

Everyone struggles early on, don't sweat it. Personal preferences are important. I find bows underpowered early on, so I prefer the speed of 1-H. Militia to Paladin is supposedly the easiest route, I play mages, so that was fun. I think the merc would be a challenge. Having spells that do 500 damage is great against the tough monsters. I really like Holy Missile. _________________ If God said it, then that settles it!

I myself played as a Paladin the First time around and I used 1 H weapons the entire game and a dragon hunters crossbow towards the end so i suggest a one handed weapons and crossbow. _________________ And Innos, in his wisdom, did so! |
