Cannot change resolutions(unless you edit gothic.ini)

I found out that when I tried to change resolutions in the options menu, it did not work. Anyone else notice this? I then went into the gothic.ini file and edited it using notepad and manually changed it(under where it says zVidResFullscreenX and zVidResFullscreenY. X being the first number such as 800 or 1024 and Y being the second number such as 600 or 768). I found 800x600 resolution to run best on my system(Athlon 1.3ghz, 32mb radeon, 512mb ram, 21" monitor). All other detail options were set to maximum. I think to play in any of the higher resolutions and get decent framerates, you'd need a 2ghz processor, GeForce4 and 1gb ram. And to play in 1600x1200 I doubt even a super system like that would get decent framerates.

To change rezolution, you must press enter after you change value in option screen.
To you second question:
I have 850 TBird with Gforce 2 GTS and 256 MB SDRAM 100 and I play in 1152*864 all other options on max and without any slowdowns.

Thanks Danicek, you were right. All other games I've played so far have not required you to hit enter after changing resolutions in the setting menu. I wonder how many other people did not know you had to hit enter after switching resolutions for it to work?

Not true - nowhere on the options screen where one changes resolution does it say you must press enter. I DID figure it out - but again it WAS NOT intuitive - you didn't have to hit enter for any of the other changes on the same screen.

You want to tell me the English version has no status line on the bottom of the options window?
