No, they didn't appear in Gothic II. "Herr Mannelig" is the song you're probably looking for :-) |

The song is 'Herr Mannelig (acoustic version)'. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

yes.
this "concert" is a hightlight of gothic I. unfortunately, it was cutted from all non-german versions (but, thanx to fans, it's possible to see it via cheatcode-playing)
there are rumors that in extremo wiill return in gothic 3. and i really hope that this time not only germans will see it.
BTW did you like the new IE-album? |

Well, that rumour is most probably kinda arbitrary... since development of Gothic III started just a few weeks ago. Excuse my English. |

1) It's just a rumor.
2) Which one was the last one? 7? Haven't got it because I didn't like 'Sünder ohne Zügel' before it. _________________ Jaz |

I am a music lover.
Talking abt music...I absolutely love the music in all the Gothic series.
It adds a lot of feelings and emotion and depth to the game.
The song title mentioned being acoustic "Herr Mannelig"...is that the theme played with guitar and flute? the one played when we are in the new camp as well as cavalorn hut ?
or is that the main theme when we are wandering most part on the land in Gothic. The one that sounds more orchestral.?
The music are all pretty traditional and yet with a New Age edge to it. I love it.
Just a thought :
In Gothic 2...the music really reminds me of a hybrid btw Vangelis + Enya(The Celts) + Ennio Morricone.
At certain part....the music even reminds me of Tan Dun & Ryuichi Sakamoto. |

'Herr Mannelig' (acoustic version) is repeated in the Old Camp theme, but mainly it's the song the travelling band plays on stage (which has been cut out of the English language version due to copyright reasons).
The GII soundtrack reminds me of the Gladiator score (Hans Zimmer & Enya). _________________ Jaz |

The lyrics you have in your sig looks a lot more old-Swdeish than German to me. Is it really German? _________________

It's not German. Herr Mannelig is a medieval Swedish song . _________________ Jaz |

Performed, among others, by the great group Garmarna. _________________ CaptainWorshipperNonFlamer

Then check out the version by Garmarna, Toaster. Who knows, maybe you'll discover what a great band they are. _________________ CaptainWorshipperNonFlamer
