1)Heavy Guard Armor
2)Heavy Shadow Armor
3)Heavy Bandit Armor.
I'm not into robes at all... just imagine adventuring in a nightgown... the hem smeared with scavenger droppings from your most recent hunt... yuck .

Visually speaking I liked the Heavy Shadow Armor the best, with the Ore armor probably second. |

Yah, the regular water mages' robe was the coolest. You sorta look ranger-y in it, with a horn bow and a broadsword. The heavy bandit armor looks pretty cool.
A little tip: I often found myself wishing I could just keep my bandit's or shadow's armor, and then I found the "edit focus" console command. You can "edit focus" the armor you want (after dropping it on the ground and focusing on it, duh ) and then you can type in "protection" and hit enter, and you can edit all of its various protections - weapons, arrows, magic, etc. - and it'll be changed. It still worked for me, even though the edited values didn't show up when I looked at the armor in-game. |

Ya' know, I also liked the opulence and finery of the Ore baron's armor, (especially Gomez' with all the fancy scrollwork) but I didn't care for the fur part across the shoulders.

I know you're not going to agree with me but I really like the novice's loincloth in the Sect Camp. It was cheap and gave me good protection until I could join a camp. It looked good too me wearing a skirt!
