I think I missed something in my mercenary campaign =/

Welp I just beat the mercenary game and I am a bit confused.

The highest armor I got when I finished was Medium dragon armor. I always thought I would get heavy but I never saw an option or a way to get it so I just shrugged and went on.

But... it seems I think I did miss some other armor. When I spoke to the final dragon feller he said something along the lines of "Did not my eggs help make your armor?" and I was thinking "umm, no". Then in the final animation the armor I was wearing looked much beefier than what I had.

Did I miss a cave of eggs? I thought I got them all, I believe I had 13 eggs in total but some caves I couldn't find lizards or eggs in =/

Could someone fill me in on what I missed if I did miss anything? I don't have any saves to go back to so I'de just like to know what I missed incase I play as a mercenary again sometime.

The heavy armor you buy from Bennet. You have to have been to the secret library and read the almanac. Then you go to Bennet and tell him you know how to improve the armor. Then you get the option to buy for 20000 gp. The eggs really have nothing to do with the armor. You can get the heavy armor without turning in any eggs.

You can? Never tried. Always got it out of the book, oh well. BTW it's always good to read every book you come across, especially in ch 5 as you get experience the first time you read a particular book. The experience is bigger the further into the game you are. Same with picking pockets.

Oh crap I finished the game with Medium Armor too! I should have read the almanac! Dammit! Oh well, I won't forget next time (though you probably get the High Robe of Fire some other way).
