Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok,
Just a little background. I had installed and played gothic for a couple of days... well some problems popped and i figured i would just reinstall.

Now it wont let me install.. i get this error message in the installation process which then terminates the installation.
Error Message:

An installation support file 'c:\windows\TEMP\(bbf10b37-4ed3-11d5-a818-00500435fc18)isrt.dll' could not be installed.
Access is denied.

So...... i have reinstalled Direct X seeing the .dll tag but that hasnt helped.
Windows 98.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any questions ill do my best to answer.

You should try to clear the registry of all 'Gothic' entries by doing a regedit.

Yeah.. i dont know what i am doing.

Well.. i found out the problem, and once again i was making a simple problem harder then it was.

I needed to reinstall and tweak my sound card and wala. It all works.
