I've inserted different characters and taken control, but can't get them to fight or add items to their inventory. Is it possible ?

Unfortunately, no. You're always the same old 'me'. If you take over somebody else, people won't talk to you.

Actually, I once took over the body of an orc slave and was able to have access to an inventory and equip weapons(not bows or crossbows)and armor. Of course anytime I tried to talk to someone as an orc slave, they'd say "Not now!"

Heh, in chapter 5 (in the OC castle) I inserted Asghan (the only 'enemy' inserted who didn't either attack me on sight or stroll away), possessed him, threw off his clothes, wrestled Gomez for his sword and had lots of fun running around in underwear, whacking people while the earlier-inserted Jackal killed the poor story helper and character helper.
'Not now' was the only answer I got from people as well.

- Sheesh, I always feel kinda bad when possessing people. Even in Rogue Spear I felt somwehat guilty, seeing how desperately the guys always returned to their original routines after I had left them.
Perhaps it's because possessing an AI makes me think of the movie '13th Floor'.

I took control over Judge, actually i couldn't control him at all, he just kept walking to starting area, and died there. Without my so called control he would have survived, i feel so quilty

It's not too hard with the mod-kit... watch out for my upcoming effort, which will indeed see you as someone else. Should be done in a few days. (He says.)

Thanks all. Alistair, if you've found a solution, I'm certainly interested. Seems to me playing as different characters would generate renewed interest with those of us who played enough to start asking our travel agents if they offer package tours inside the barrior.
