Do you guys use quick potions?
   

In the gothic.INI you can enable lots of thing liek quicksave qch is good
but i saw u can enable quickpotions. to drink them with the animation so in the heat of battle u can heal yourself....

even tho im not good at fighting still , im reluctant to use is seing as it wasnt made to be used.....

any one here uses it? and why

Never used them. You don't really need it and I think it's a little unrealistic to grab a potion everytime things get hot around you.

Nobody uses the quickpotions. This feature was made for the Diablo crowd.

Quicksave is definitely a good idea. Just make it a habit to only quicksave in the standard gameplay screen and while you´re doing _absolutely nothing_ . Otherwise you might end up with a corrupted save. And don´t forget to make a standard save every 30 minutes.

btw., G2 gets easier after chapter 1. At least for those who listen carefully what they´re supposed to do. Save in another slot while you´re still in the city. If you get your ass handed in the valley of mines you missed an important point.

oh yeah i forgot to mention ....
u can also up the blood level to 3 so if an enemy or yourself as less then 50% HP there is a continous loss of blood
u can track wounded beast like that its pretty neet

i just found some more stuff in there to help my crappy PC performance so its cool i neverr knew about those files

When running....weave from side to side to dodge creatures that are too fast. This didn't work in Gothic 1 but it works here.... I've dodged orc blows from behind with this trick and have deterred snappers and even wargs, however shadowbeasts are too smart for that.
