What CD is Steve Earle: Ashes to Ashes, Oz? I used to like him better before he got all lefty preachy. I hate political songs, and some of my favorite bands started making them: Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Steve Earle and it sound like Morrisey's new CD may have some. @Jung: The studio album is called "Jerusalem" but I was listening to the live track from "Just an American Boy". You can listen to a 128 kbps mp3 here: http://www.rollingstone.com/dds/track.asp?rid=40166&listen _________________ "There is no way around it. Correct is correct. I am correct, therefore I win."

patriot power metal! I cant believe what Im hearing, most of the songs on "The Glorious Burden" are about the revolutionary war, declaration of Independance, etc. Even a power version of the Star Spangled Banner, this rocks ='.'=
"The album closer, “Gettysburg (1863)”, is a 32-minute epic comprised of three sections that represent specific events that happened on each of the 3 days of the Battle of Gettysburg (from the struggle of General Buford, Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain’s defending of Little Round Top, to Pickett’s charge). Schaffer hired the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra to enhance the theatrical atmosphere of the project and give it a true epic sensation."

Keepers Of The Grove - "Wand Of Negation"
This band rules!
Ive heard of them a few times while chatting on Battlenet between games, people seem to really like em alot. Very hard to get ahold of their stuff tho, their first 2 albums were on AncientOfWar records, and they shut down years ago. Finally got to hear them today when i saw the new imports my local heavy metal depot, looks like they got picked up by Nuclear Blast. Cost me 50 gold and 20 wood tho, wasnt cheap!
I scanned it so you could check out the artwork, these guys rock!
They actually cover a Judas Priest classic, LIVE!
worth every nugget.... ='.'= _________________ “Then away out in the woods I heard that kind of a sound that a ghost makes when it wants to tell about something that's on its mind and can't make itself understood, and so can't rest easy in its grave, and has to go about that way every night grieving.”-Mark Twain |

Word up brutha!!!
Just saw Dream Theater live again on Monday night. This show was 2 hours and 45 minutes(3 hours if you count a 15 minute break) long. Completely mind-blowing. They performed the entire Train of Thought album including the 15 minute instrumental Streams of Consciousness. And they performed another 1 1/2 hours of songs off every album they have ever done. The greatest band I have EVER seen live. And I have been to 60 shows in the last 10 years. The only other band that is this good live is Tool.
Anyway, I have seen them perform that entire double-album live in 2002. That was a 3 1/2 hour show including 2 hours of old albums. I love that 45 minute song and the 24 minute Change of Seasons song from 1995.
Right now I am listening to…
