Hi
I read several reviews of Gothic in magazines and decided to buy it as dodgy controls don't bother me. However I live in the UK and I couldn't find it in any shops so I ordered it online for £23. The online shop said Gothic was out of stock and would take a month to come. That was a week ago. So I downloaded the demo and was amazed at how much you could do just in the demo! I am a level 4 bloke with plenty of good weapons including Scatty's sword and a longbow (I beat a lot of people up!), I also have amassed about 900 ore. What I was wondering is if you can import saved games from the demo into the full game so I don't have to do all this again.

Others may comment - but I wasn't able to. However, I found the full game enough fun that it didn't bother me at all starting over.

I tried that, it won't work, play the full game and enjoy, and remember to save often (recommended  ) |

Don't worry, starting over won't be so bad once you know how to slice through the Old Camp quests. Also, if you want to see the entire Gothic world in the demo, go to the edge of your map, bring up the stats screen and type marvin, then close the stats screen and press K while standing on the demo's barrier, you'll go through it. There are no NPC's there but all the chests and landforms are there. |

But do not do this! As it will serve no purpose but spoil your enjoyment...
PS: Gothic is in the shops in Cambridge... |
