This game in it's current stage of beta seems better than some games out there that have been released for a while now...
My only comment is that some areas seem sorta sparse for things to kill., but of course, those things are easy to change, afterall 'its beta' (TM). Graphics are nice, all cranked up they don't tax a high end machine. You can have quite a few PC's in one area and it doesn't appear to slow down, will be interesting to see how well large scale pvp battles work out.
But all in all, I'm pretty shocked, because I assumed that the game was being overhyped by Blizzard fanbois, however, it seems like they got a real winner on their hands. |

Well.... enlighten me - what is it WoW brings that is different from any other mmorpg currently out?
Cartoony neat graphics (GREAT looking game for its style, but EQ2 will blow it away in that department) do not a game make.
Not being a regular player of other mmorpg's I'd like to hear why people think WoW stands out.
...and enjoy the stress test |

Honestly, there isn't anything different here that you haven't seen already in other MMORPGs, just more polished. From the quest system, to crafting, to the loot drops, to pvp, and the way it handles a lot of people on screen at one time, all of it.. just feels more fun than other games out there right now (and its still in beta
EQ2 will definitely be the best looking out there, but it has no pvp. So I'm not interested really. Which isn't a bad thing, there are plenty of people that don't like pvp, and EQ2 will be the game for them.
But if I had to guess, going forward, there will be WoW and EQ2, everything else will be a niche game or disappear. |

Er.. by everything else, I mean other hack and slash fantasy style dungeon crawlers.. obviously the sci-fi/space games attract a different crowd and there's room for 1 or 2 of them.. (AO/SWG/Eve being the established..) |
