hehe

Well, Rayban, I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. I won'T try and convince as to the why's and how's of the reason I like this game to the degree at which I do. My feeling as that the reason I like it is also the reason you don't like it. And, again, that's fine really. We just don't seem to be looking for the same thing in an RPG.

I myself was VERY happy that there is absolutely no experience points in this game! I find gaining XP to be artificial. In life, you gain skills, and then get better at them, and that constitute experience, IMO. And that's just what you have here. Of course, this system is fairly open to abuse, but many of those who like this game very much would ask you: why cheat? You cheat yourself out of this great experience.

And again I tell you: to enjoy the freedom you are awarded here you need to use your imagination to a LARGE degree! I agree with you that if you just take the game as it is and play the structure of the game without allowing yourself to put some restraints on the way you play the character that you choose, then you will find things that don't seem to make sense. Anyway, what I'm trying to say here is that I think you are as right as I think I am, and that the reason why so many people like this game is the same reason others don't.

Rayban... have you thought how complicated this game would be if all that things was like you said? It would also be ALOT harder too...

It needs to be A WHOLE LOT harder. Morrowind is by far the most simple, broken game ever created.

i still think Morrowind is one of the best games ever... and of course, it haves alot of bugs, but the game is sooo huge, it would take years to fix it all... stop complaining...

The game isn't that big when you think of actual content.

After the first 40-50 hours of playing, you've seen everything there is to see, beyond that, it's just the same old thing. Walk around the island, go into a tomb/cave/mine/shrine/ruin. They actually said up to 500 hours of gaming... They forgot to mention, 450 of those hours being spent doing the same repeatative tasks that you did the first 50 hours of the game.

It's a shame reviewers bought into the hype and graphics of this game, and released clouded reviews on how spectacular this game supposedly is. Graphics don't make the game, but apparently it did for Morrowind.

What amazes me, is that someone can complain about a game after playing it for 50+ hours. I've played at least that long and I haven't come close to seeing everything. Also, I paid $90 for this game, not the $50 people pay in the US. Heck, at $50 for 50 hours of enjoyment, that's pretty good value. How many movies, videos etc. could you enjoy for that same $50? This is a GREAT game, not a perfect one. (There can never be a perfect game) This game suits multiple playing styles (you can't say that about Diablo ) This game is relatively bug free. I could go on, but won't. When you pay $90-$100 a game as I have to here in Australia, you are very careful what you buy. Compare this game to Pool of Radiance 2 (BORING) Dungeon Siege (Fun for a few hours, but NO plot and very repetative) and you'll have to admit that this game offers a lot more for the same admission price.

oh please, you people who complain about it being the "same old thing" after a while are clueless. look at how many games have you do the "same old thing" after a while into the game...actually now that i think about it, in every game, once you get past a certain point (sooner or later) you do the same thing over again. that doesnt matter. what matters is if it is fun, and you will play it. maybe people WANT to keep clearing out dungeons and explore new areas all the time. thats a big part of the genre of game....also....awhile back, that ray guy so WHATS THE USEFULNESS OF PICKPOCKETING?? with the mage VS thief thing...ummmm the usefullness of pickpocketing is to steal things people have in their pockets and not on counters, in chests, etc (AKA pickpocketing) lol...and ray, its as simple as this. if you dont like the game, then you didnt have to play it for 50 hours, and you dont have to keep playing it. trying to force your opinion on all of us isnt going to pull us away from the game.
