Cant learn circle 6

Ok, I am a Circle 5 Water mage. I cant learn Circle 6 from you know who...and I am in Chapter 5.

I get the option to trade with him, but he doesn't give me the option to learn circle 6. Granted, I dont have the required skill points to move to that skill, but that shouldn't be a factor because the rest of the game offers a "I can't teach you that. You don't have enough experience" dialogue from every single other teacher.

I did join the Old camp first, from Shadow to Guard to Mercenery to Water mage...did something along that line permanently prevent me from Circle 6? Did I have to be a fire mage first?

Once you need it you can learn it from "you know who"

Just save 40 skillpoints for now. Spend the rest on mana.

You did the exact right way to reach this far. Keep up the Mage Career.
