Fallout: BoS (Xbox) - Preview @ Xbox.IGN |
These Fallout: BoS previews are coming thick and fast now. Xbox.IGN is the latest site to post some impressions of this title:
In the upcoming Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel everything is completely post-apocalyptic. Mutants are running rampant, scorpions are the size of horses, radioactivity is still falling from the sky, and there are some humans still roaming around, trying to make sense of it all. It's a brilliant premise, the stuff that has driven boatloads of sci-fi books and even a Don Johnson movie, but now it's an action-RPG from Black Isle Studios. The same guys that brought us Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and the upcoming Dark Alliance 2 are using their skills for a completely different world: the wasteland future.

Can someone mail the guy that did that piece explaining the game was made by Intertplay internal console dev team and not Black Isle Studios please? FOBOS2 is beeing made with six former BIS devs, that were taken from fallout3 and one that came from bgda2, and that`s it. Saying that BIS, the RPG division of Interplay still exists is a bit ridiculous, but that`s life on the corporate gaming arena, but saying that they made fobos is downright insulting, since they were dismantled and fo3 were canceled to alocate resources to console games like fobos2 (fobos is already gold for a couple of months) or the Exalted game. |
