| Where do you get soul gems? |

I just figured out the soul gem thing, but I cant find any soul gems. Is there some merchant that sells them? |

Without giving anything away...
You'll find many Traders and Pawnbrokers have one or two in stock. Some civilians might have a couple, but they're not willing to sell them. Some creatures might drop them, and you often find them in random loot in smuggler's caves.
However, I've heard there is one merchant who has a replenishable stock of Petty gems, somewhere in the Telvanni area.
(Also, if you have Tribunal, there's a merchant there with a good stock.)

The smuggler's caves in the SE of the island usually have a number of gems in them ...

In Suran is a trader called "Ralds Oril".
I'm not sure if he actually sells Soul Gems, but there are definitely some on the table in his shop. The unscrupulous among us might not even think they have to pay. I of course could not possibly comment.

PS: I never have worked out the soul gem thing. Soul eludes me full stop in fact. Sure I can get down. But then I can't get back up again! |
