The Smiths - Louder than Bombs

Oh man, first I regress back to listening to The Cure, now Ive broken out The Smiths after 10 years! Maybe this will reverse the aging process ='.'=

I never got any deeper into the Clash than their hits. Rock the Casbah, London Calling, etc. To me the guy always sounded like Lenny, the big dummy stereotype brought forth from the tale "Of Mice and Men". Like in the old Bugs Bunny cartoons, he was the big oaf who was like "gee George, youre smart George" to the little snappy George counterpart. The huge snowman that is in that one episode used the Dumb Lenny persona too. The singer for the Clash always seemed to sound like that to me in a way, I could never really take the band seriously enough to delve any deeper into their material than what I heard on the radio.

Most songs I end up liking the most by any band, are the ones between the hits that dont make it big. Purrhaps Im missing out on some of the Clash's "hits" that never hit. Ive recently seen a Clash cd on my brothers kitchen table, that is making me think just that.

Oh well...

I guess I have a fondness for almost any old Brit stuff. Getting old so it's easy to reminisce about the good old days when music was "real"...

Today I dug out several tracks I used to like but forgot all about...

Afghan Wigs: Debonair
Urban Dance Squad: Candy Stick

...and tracks an online friend of mine made, he's a DJ over at Rotterdam (yes, it's Gabber and Noise stuff).

Dear sir, a friendly reminder - posting several times in a row is considered bad style and spam. Yes, I see that you posted what you were listening to at the time of your respective posts, but that's no reason for multi-posting. There's an edit button. Posting a playlist instead of single tracks might do.
