Beyond Divinity v1.1 Patch Notes (German Version)

Swen "Lar" Vincke of Larian Studios has posted the patch notes of the v1.1 update for the German release of 'Beyond Divinity' to the official forums. The patch notes are in English and it may be interesting even for you non-German folks to see what has changed because this patch will very very likely be incorporated in the English release. So if you want to see what has changed since the demo... have a look.

Is it cleared out yet how german buyers will be getting the new speech files?

They ARE making them again for NA / Worldwide Release right?

I refused to buy it til now, because of
1. bugs
2. add. content in worldwide release
3. shabby dvdbox again for germany. Thats really a letdown.

What new speech files? UBISoft didn't do the German speech files at all, so there are no new speech files for the German version

And I wasn't aware thate there is additional content in the worldwide release of the game. I seriously doubt that, the game has the same content in all versions.
The only thing that can be considered as being extra, is that some of the distributors have a package deal including Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity and some distributors pack a novel by Rhianna Pratchett with the game. UBISoft, who is distributing the game for the German speaking countries only, decided to do neither of these options, or even go for something else.

Seems unfair to me. I wonder how many German speaking people will decide to wait for the English release with bugs fixed and speech files? I hope UBIsoft don't have the Australian rights!!

I believe the Australian publisher is QVS (same people who released X2 here), based on the listed publisher at a few online sites.

You tell me that there is not even english speech in the german version??
wow. Who will buy this cripple then?

And with add. content i meant all the things they are adding to the game right now.
Different combat modes and so on...
Ok, you could describe it as a patch.

So, i guess its Sacred then, to buy next...

Added content?

I read through the patch info, and from what I saw, the only added enhancements are very small things, in fact its more of a balancing issue. There are no new features being added. Certainly nothing about new combat options. Are you sure you aren't thinking about Divine Divinity and not the game Beyond Divinity (aka Riftrunner) This is a patch for Beyond Divinity, not Divine Divinity.
As for the German version being cripple. I would have to disagree. Just because a game ships multiple language versions doesn't cripple it. If you add more than one language to a game, it just increases the number of CD's you are getting. And what makes the English version that much better just because it's English.
BTW, I am an American, so I do speak English.

The combat modes are in the German version. Besides solving some bugs, the voices and maybe changing some balancing issues the English game is not different from the German one.
