A super dfficult enemy with the power of 100 trolls and the AI of 137.2 shadow warriors or an actual boss that is difficult to kill. Gothic is great and I would love to see some harder enemys in it.

re: improving G

How about adding a couple of levels of difficulty. Some people like a tougher challenge, yet some others may want to play at a less difficult level. It 's hard to satisfy everybody.

I think we need more dialog, to connect different areas of the game... ie. make it all into one BIG story, not a story with a bunch of sidequests... Make sure there are no loose ends and stuff like that. Also, I think we need more weapons for later chapters... ie. in the start, you can get lots of weapons and are limited by our STR (or DEX)... later, you are limited by chapter progress, which is kinda... As I've heard from NOTR, you can train you STR to 200, and if this option is kept (I prolly wouldn't like that, though) in G3, it gives much more possibility for different weapons... Thats just my personal opinion through, and after ranting this much, I'm not sure thats such a good idea...

As for difficulty, I think it would be better just to add some really hard areas etc. so for those who prefer a challenge, to go there and do those quests, and those who like it easier just do it 'the normal way'. I think that adding different difficulty levels would unbalance the game... ie. Should you get more experiance for killing the same enemy on a higher difficulty? If so, how much? In the end, everybody would play on the hardest setting, to experiance the most of the game etc. The absence of such a system is one of the things I like a lot about Gothic.

It is said that Gothic 3 WILL have difficulty levels.
And VPeric some people like side quests.

I'm not saying that I don't like sidequests, but I'd like that they are atleast a tiny bit connected to the main quest(s). What I'm asking for, is less loose ends, and more quests in general. If difficulty levels are going to be implemented, I'm taking that as a bad omen. =\\

that means almost that the gameplay isnt anymore FREE like it is in Gothic 1 and 2 u see if u take away side quests that dosent connect to the primary mission then u practically playing somekind of Solder Of Fortune 1 or 2 just shoot kill and go go go so u can finish the game as fast as u can. The most of all i like in Gothic series is that it has a free feeling if u play it you can go and buy some fish and go make from it a soap or somethig and then you go to a tavern and drink some beer and the next day u see u got not much money left anymore so u go pick up some job that will bring u in some easy cash so u can come back to the tavern later and drink some more beer and see what happens so imo the sidequests needs to be deffenetly on the place they are right now even 2 or 3 times more than in the second or first part please if it would be possible

Sorry for a lausy english i am loosing the language every day no idea why, probably getting old or something

Bah, the more I think about it, the less my idea makes sense, and the more I want to focus on loose ends. Also, why couldn't anyone comment on my weapons idea, but only critique me for this

A sidequest is not the same as a loose end, you know. For example getting the package for Nugar isn't story-related so it can't be a loose end. A loose end is some storyline that leads to nothing or that just stops without a satisfying end etc. But when it's not imbedded in the story, how can it be a loose end.

I go for the better 2 last chapters cause the onlu thing you did there, was almost just slashing. I always regretted it when I entered that chapters and wnated to go back to the real story and fun making Because I think everybody was always a bit disapointed the last chapters

yup only one sidequest looked pointless and it was the Chromanin quest in G1

a more complex combat system

just like blade edge of darkness, also known as severance, edge of darkness

mixing gothic with bladeīs combats would be fucking superb

in fact gothic combat is similar to bladeīs one, but it has a really poorer implementation

cheers

Or the least they can do is make the combo's do increased damage. The combo's are sometimes useful, because you step forward while hacking, but in most times it's easier to just use left- and right-swing.

well with left and right strategy is kinda boring a little bit its good tho in the beginning but when u get almost in the middle of the game allready then i allways use different combos like lets say left right forwart forwart block and then i repeat that way it makes more fun than just left right
