Have I ruined my game?

Hi friendly peeps,

I'm playing Morrowind for the first time, loving it too.

Now, ages ago I had to kill "Bad people" in the Balmora Council Club. On looting their bodies, I found a key to Nerano Manor, so I went there and looted too. Met the owner and his guards, killed and looted them too.

Many hours of gameplay later, having recently started doing Redoran quests, I now have to go and stop a certain Ondres Nerano, who lives in Balmora, from spreading rumours about someone or other. I have the feeling that this Nerano is the same one I killed earlier in the game. I tried the resurrect thingy in console, but I have saved many times since and it seems to have no effect. I have also tried the commands "ra" and "placeatpc" and neither seem to have any effect, but also don't give any error msgs in the console

I really want to advance on House Redoran, but it's not looking good for me here I fairly sure.

Is there something I can do or is it new char time?

Thanks in advance

Pikey

Hrm, the best thing I can suggest is to use the construction kit to confirm whether or not you have killed the person you're after. Just check who was in the building you cleared, and see if any of them are the person you're after.

The "placeatpc" trick *should* work, make sure you've got the right ID string etc.

Other than that, there's little you can do. These are the consequences of running around killing people at random! If that's the path you've taken, you may just have to live with the fact that House Redoran won't accept you past a certain point.
