After getting some Lab Flasks, I have initiated the "potion making process" at various Lab tables throughout the land, and sure enough, my character dutifully starts the automatic process of taking a flask, dipping it into the vat, pouring it into the funnel, etc.

However, after I halt the process (character would go on like this forever otherwise) and check my inventory, I see that a Lab Flask is indeed gone, but the number of potions (health, mana, or other) I had did NOT change at all. The Lab Flask "went" somewhere, but it sure didn't turn into a potion of any kind.

I get the same results at every Lab table I have encountered, including the two in Cor Kalom's hut.

Would love to hear from anyone w/ success in making potions about what is going on here.

You need special books for posions.

"You need special books for posions (sic)."

Um, could you please clarify what "special books" you are referring to?

I already read the potion recipe that I stole from Cor Kalom's chest before giving it to Dexter, but does the recipe need to be actually in my inventory to be able to make potions?

I am beginning to suspect that potion making started on this forum as a ficticious prank ala the "Swamp Witch". If so, nice.
