Obsidian sets off on Number #3 |
|
Obsidian Assistant Producer John Morgan has posted a couple of interesting lines in this thread:
Obsidian Entertainment is indeed working on a third project. All I can really say is that it's in a state of pre-production at the moment and it is not a Bioware license.[...]

It's not a sequel
Thanks to one of our news comments and RPG Codex. |

its not a sequel
that means it rules out BG3, an outsourced Fallout3, IWD3 and possibly KotOR3.
we can pretty much assume its not a prequel too..I think. |

Diablo 3?
oh i dunno, Diablo 2 imo is very overrated. Granted it's a gd game but i found it extremely repetetive. I can't even complete Chapter 1 without falling asleep. Now Sacred is an awesome game, i think its better than Diablo 2...
Anyway, i wonder wat the new game is...hmmm... |

It is their own intellectual property (IP). They have been working on a engine for months now and are shopping it around to various publishers. No word (publicly) who is interested as of yet.

why should blizzard outsource the development of one of their most successfull games, i.e. diablo 3?
maybe it is a new brand, maybe it is a prequel, could still be called baldur's gate 3 then or anything else...wait and drink tee (or rather beer ) |
