i'm posting this here, cause most of the people visit this forum, and there isn't a sea dogs forum....i'm getting interested in this game....though i just read gamesdomain's review of it and it's very bad they say...it gets 2 stars...whats up with this game? no demo to be found anywhere.... |

I have it. It isn't boring first. It gets boring after some time, and it has a VERY steep learning curve.
If you can get it from a bargain bin, try it. Or wait for Sea Dogs 2 - it should eliminate most of the annoying aspects of the game...

Seadogs is a 3d Pirates ! clone.
+ the sea fights look great
+ u can hire special crew members to improve your your saling, fighting... skills
- the quests are a bit boring after some days playing
- you play in a fantasy world, i want to sail in the historic caribian sea 
- the early versions had some big bugs, with some showstoppers (i believe these are fixed now)
all in all not so addictive as Pirates !, but i will try Seadogs 2 again - i love pirate games...
...pirate games - has anyone news about Freelancer ?

Hello Peeps!
Now I know this post is a bit late but I was looking for help on a Gothic quest when I saw somebody mention Sea Dogs.
Let me say that the game is fun at first but gets boring fast. It's sorta like if somebody released Friday The Thirteenth #700. It just can't be that enjoyable.
Don't even waste your money on a bargin bin. The game has been collecting dust in my library of games for some time now. |
