On PB developers homepage in German language. They are not working on a second German add-on at all.
------------------------------------
As the rumors over a further AddOn to Gothic II, circulating since the publication of the JoWood of annual report for 2003, in the year Piranha byte explains 2004:
"we develop at present no second AddOn to Gothic II and do not intend also to change this."
Likewise evidently from the annual report the date for the completion of a further part (Gothic III) is - this reads in the year 2005 as also in the message communicated.
As soon as there is new to Gothic III, their it here will find as used!
----------------------------
It maybe that JoWooD is going to publish the English Add-on after all, or they are referring to the 'another derivative of the highly successful series Gothic series' as being actually the singular German Gold Edition of Gothic2 plus Add-on.
It could be either way. Maybe the English translation of the original German is in doubt -but even in German www.worldofgothic.de it is in confusion what is meant -so the English translation of the news is accurate. JoWooD's intention is still not clear. Only just PB said they are not working on a second add-on.
I do remember people saying that the English voice recording of Raven was already done way back on September 2003 and that PB was finished with the English version of the Raven add-on. It was Atari sitting on not publishing the add-on. maybe JoWooD will publish English Raven after the contract with Atari expires? _________________ Wo ist mein Sumpfkraut? |

We don´t even know if anybody is to blame. Maybe they´re still inside their own schedule. Why should JoWooD or Atari hurry with the release of the add-on if Gothic 3 comes in late 2005 ? They have all the time in the world. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

It's very easy to be rational, patient, and level-headed about the add-on release when you've already played it!!! _________________ All shall hear the words of Karras...the words of Karras |

Did I mention the add-on is superb? And even better for everybody who thinks G1 is better than G2 ?
No seriously, I was absolutely unenthusiastic about the releases of both G2 and TNotR. PB and JoWooD could have delayed them again, I wouldn´t have cared. This changed ~2 days before the street date, but not earlier. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

No, acctually the gothic release this year is a spinn-off series produced by, a new team. In this game our hero, finds a space ship and goes to Mars, it's a FPS game, and PB has absolutly nothing to do with it.

I'm pretty sure JoWooD would love to, but you're ignoring Atari's say in this case. |
