I liked to play DII a lot in its time, SP and MP, but never online. Very nice FMVs. But I'm with gg here, there's nothing more stress-relieving than turning on the UT2003 low-g mutator and watch dead bots spiral to the ground. A beautiful sight .

Who is your Avatar from Jaz? I noticed you got rid of the Star Wars one. _________________ "What are you gonna do? Release the dogs?! Or the bees?! Or dogs with bees in their mouth so that when they bark they shoot bees at you?" - Homer Simpson |

Val is correct, this avatar is my favorite dolly=action figure:
WWII machinegunner Rudolf Wilhelmaina, made by Dragon Models Ltd., Hong Kong. I just Photoshopped him a bit. IRL he's 12" high, standing on my sideboard... and he's definitely not blue and pink. _________________ Jaz |

So. Killed another thread. To return to Diablo II - which was your favorite character class? _________________ Jaz |

My favorite character class? Let see...I haven't tried out all the character class, however i did play several of them, includes Druid, Barbarian & thief. Druid is my favorite, with many deadly spells and i like to summon wolf and transforming myself, which also allow me to use some tactical engagement when fighting tons of enemy in different situations. _________________

I played them all, and I preferred the Barbarian and Assassin. I liked the necromancer for his looks and his cool spells, but in close combat he was definitely at a severe disadvantage... and the druid was too similar to the Necro IMO. Then again, I'm not into this trees and nature stuff.
The mage... hmmm, I preferred to play as a mage in Diablo I, but I just could not bring myself to like the DII mage. The Amazon was too weak I think. And I hated the Paladin's voice ... _________________ Jaz |

I tried all classes (only tried). My favorit class was barbarian. It is strange because usually I play games with wizards/sorcerers type of characters.
It was hard work to play with him throught all three dificulty levels. And it was very hard work for my mouse (or better to say mouses). |

I played from start to finsih for Druid and Barbarian characters, but only half way through for Assassin, and several hours for wizard, Amazon and Necromancer characters, never play the Paladin class though. All the characters i have played is under normal difficulty setting, never try on nightmare or other settings. The feeling of boring or numbness quickly set in after i finsihed with Druid and Barbarian characters, because of same maps and the repetitive gameplay i guess. The most interesting things is the skills development and weapon/item combinations option. _________________

I havent touched it in months(maybe a year), but for a while me and freinds would do some pretty long D2 marathons.Actually got an eye twitch for about 2 months from playing it so much ='.'= Im all about ranged combat, so Id say the fave class for me is likely a bow Zon for flat out most powerful char. Sorceress is fun, and a Necro is as well.Crunch all the skeletons you want, ill make more.Just keep my disposable lackeys runnin forward. Combined with a pumped-up Bone Spear spell and Corpse Explosion, my Necro was a force to be reckoned with. Druid is trippy, i like wolfy minions. Hell, they are all fun i guess in their own ways, but when i want to cut a swath thru everything onscreen i break out my Amazon. Fun game in its time, but I just cant play it anymore, its all too familiar. Rarely happens _________________ “Then away out in the woods I heard that kind of a sound that a ghost makes when it wants to tell about something that's on its mind and can't make itself understood, and so can't rest easy in its grave, and has to go about that way every night grieving.”-Mark Twain |
