Crypt puzzle?

Hey guess who
before i start thanks dave and cmkj for everything you guys have helped me on

anyway you know where the last puzzle in the crypt is right?
the one where you have to solve it to get the shield?
i noticed there is a field to the right is there any purpose of going down there or is it just a side quest?

I don't think you can go down there until you get enough experience or should go down there that is. That's what I did. I had already been to the Sister's outpost and solved the Temple of Illusions. Then I went back to Alia. Then back to town was a quest in itself. After that I went down to those crypt level's and it wasn't a problem. At the end of the crypt levels there's a few serious err... creatures to deal with. For lack of letting loose any spoilers.

The lower levels of the crypt are important, but tough. Make sure you have a few levels under your belt; you'll need them.

The pass to hell is free for anyone with proper scroll or spell. Be brave to plunder, but in a battle being coward is a smarter way..
