i'm going with soldiers, they're bullets can easily pierce through metal armor, no matter how heavy (unless it has a thickness of like 50 in., srry, don't know that in centimeters) _________________ Inhale Life, Exhale Pain

knights ofcourse, why do you think the nameless hero from Gothic hasn't got a kevlar or M-4 with detacheble Rocket launcher, because its much cooler hacking and slashing orcs than shooting american soldiers (mmmmm, MAYBE its cooler ) _________________ One blade good, two blade better |

Well, it all depends which nation they fight for, what combat arm (infantry, artillary, etc) they are in, what weapons they use, weather they're part time or regular. The list goes on and on and on. _________________

Modern soldiers. Because in a few skirmishes using todays tactics of hit and run, ambush, and stealth infiltration a significant portion will have swords and full plate. Though they wouldn't want them. Bows and traps would work better.
Every infantry in modern armies are equivilent to medieval scouts, even without equipment. Throw in equipment and... well... that's that.
Full plate can't defend against any military caliber, sharped point bullets. It doesn't stand a chance. Samurai armor actually has a better chance because it focuses more on layering... but my money would be on the M-16.
Not that it matters because they'd never meet in open field of battle. The 5000 would split into 10 groups of 500 and hit and run from all flanks until the knights surrendered. Denied cover and fortification locations the knights probably would win by sheer numbers... but denied cover and fortification locations a modern army wouldn't fight. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

You should of ask 1000 soliders or 10000 knights...
anyway, i choose soliders, they will cick the knights @$$3$!!! for sure
i mean, 100 snipers on a cliff, 500 soliders with m16 or ak-42...
200 in tanks and the rest can eat some pie.... |

One tank can destroy 10,000 knights. That's the point of tanks - back when they first created and weren't deathtraps: to destroy infantry and calvary with impunity. Now, however, infantry kill tanks dead with LAW and will continue to do so until the next advances in armor. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi
