Question on skill level please.

Do you only get 10 skill level on every level? is there a way to get more skill level? I have a sword that takes 42 strength skill level and have only 20. I do have 20 skill to spend.
I have 20 skill on dexterity and a cross bow that takes 25. should I use the cross bow?

also, I'm on level seven with no armour. Where can I buy good armour, I have 800 ore.

thx

First of all, congradulations on joining us here, at RPGdot!
Now for those questions:

1): You cannot earn more then 10 skill points per level. You can, however, cheat to gain skill points.

2): Spend all those 20 skill points (15 on str, 5 on dex.)

3): You cannot use a bow/crossbow unless you have the SAME amount of dex, or greater.

3): As for 800 ore? Save it and buy better armor when you have 2000 ore.
