Willpower dropped - but why? and how do I fix? |
|
This is the first question I've really needed to post because I have no idea what to search FOR. I just noticed my willpower had gotten hit at some point without me knowing. And I don't seem to be able to restore it.
My character is mostly a diplomat who tries to talk her way thru before using her blade or lockpick, but she has decent intelligence and has spent some of her rewards on getting some basic spells like mark/recall, soultrap, a small heal, etc. Since I wear the belt with +10 willpower it didn't SHOW as red, so this could have been some time ago.
I've tried cures, restores, etc - nothing is working. Is it possible since she's been walking around like this for a while they will no longer work? Or is there something else that could be causing this? I double checked my inventory to make sure nothing there is cursed in any way, that's not it either.
I'm at a loss now. Can someone give me a clue as to what to look for? I even tried copying my latest save into notepad to see if there was anything I could decipher there - if you've tried that you know its mostly unreadable or irrelevant (what the merchants had when you last saw them?) At this point I'm not above using a console command to fix this as my last named save was some hours and many transactions ago and I'm not even sure she was okay then.... |

The only ways to restore attributes that I know of are by using restore potions/spells or to go to an altar and let them be restored by paying a donation.
As far as I know there are no other ways.
You said you tried the restore thingy and curing, but did you also give the altars at the forts a try?
Not sure if you ment that with curing, but in case you didn't, you can have all your attributes restored by paying a donation.
Either way I wish you good luck |
