no , that wont work, Gothic 2 has copy protection, nothin other than the original play cd will get the game started. some bastards have already encountered that problem and are screaming for help in the forum, (probably pirated copy or no-cd patch) haha!!! nicely done JoWood. |

He wants to get the US version with all the bug fixes without having to patch it. He already played through the Uk version. Ask him, it is not always neferious dealing.
If the US version is NOT censcor out all the dirty words and cutscenes, I will buy the localized US version and maybe sell mine. I do know they are redoing the voice acting and fixing the text bugs (I already did that for U
K 1.31) and some minor bugs like the equip rings. Source Gamespot.com
The patch for UK version I do not know what will be in there. Voice data take alot of space to download.
So, it still maybe better to keep the Uk version with the 'stellar' voice acting just because it is more adult language and some gratuitous sex and violence.
Atari 'fix' maybe to get the 'for children too' label to sell more; when in fact I think adults would buy much more for themselves to enjoy a real adult oreinted RPG game. IMHO. I am so bored with other pansy, watered-down RPG goody-too-shoes games on the market.

Come be realistic ever game has an copy protection but still are they being copyed....

Sad but true, Freakie. But ppl who bought the game, enjoys with fully working patches first Game worth of playing is also worth of buying.

and remember if you dont buy it from an official source then the sale is not credited to that area and it could eventually lead to the next games in the series not to be sold in that area anymore |
