I'm not entirely sure what you are complaining about where ratings are concerned. I mean sure there are plenty of times where I do disagree with them, but for the most part I can't argue with any of their RPG choices. Sure guild wars may not have been my favorite game, but it had no real competition and lots of people did like it.

I never played Serious Sam, but alot of people liked it. Does that have any relevence to the discussion of RPG picks?

Serious Sam 1 was a no-brains FPS with a highly optimized spectacular graphics engine. The game had some crazy ideas and it was so fast that you were completely exhausted after an hour. I liked it for what it was.
The 2nd game is MOTS, I heard.
