Just a few questions...
1) Is it possible to "win" the Xardas quest? After speaking to Xardas and returning to the New Camp Mage, this mission always ends up as a failure. Is this pre-determined or can I simply avoid meeting the water mage until some later point in the game?
2) Since being banished by the old camp, the entire camp is closed down. Will this camp ever open back up at some later point in the game? Reason I ask is because I want to sneak in as a meatbug and "declare myself king." Obviously I dont want to go in and kill every guard if the old camp plays a role in the later part of the game.

1) No. You will always fail. Read the description of the failed mission to know why.
2) In Chapter 5 you will reach an item that will grant you access to the Old Camp. You are not adviced to go inside until you have that item.

Hehe, it's kinda funny. I did the meatbug and pretty much killed anyone that I didn't like before. By the time chapter 5 came around, Not much stood in my way. |

And there where a few that couldnt be killed right?
Like the Bard, Thorus, Gomez, 2 bridge guards...
